SUCHDOL KINDERGARTEN, Prague,Czech Republic, 2007

More than one third of the land of the Czech Republic is covered with forests, and we started to think to a kindergarten that can feel the warmth of timber. The design concept became a combination of grid shell domes made of Czech timber. The grid shell creates the dynamic roof, which covers the entire space and the opening within the grid lets the sunlight go through. The light through the transparent insulation becomes gentle and makes a warm atmosphere within the interior spaces.
